The British Football Academy have continued its upward trajectory by adding yet another title to our already decorated cabinet after winning the Kloof High School National Football Tournament.
Participating as Pinetown Boys High School, in line with our education partnership, the BFA boys rose above the challenges thrown at them from various top sports schools in the country, going on to win the prestigious honour via a penalty shootout after a dramatic and frenetic final against Virginia High School.
Despite being 3-1 down, BFA (PBHS) showed resilience and tenacity to fight back to 3-3 before the final whistle that signalled a sudden-death shootout, in which we again came from behind to triumph 4-3.
“I thought we played some of the best football we have in a long time. We were really brave, and showed excellent football understanding in all phases of play. We probably conceded a bit more than I would have liked, but without a doubt [we saw] great performances all around,” remarked head coach Siyabonga Mnganga.

Moreover Sibusiso Mdlalose, Wandile Ndimane, Ntuthulo Mdlolo and Awande ‘Torres’ Xaba, alongside Nxumalo, were included in the Team of the Tournament.

This success marks our first for 2025, after a largely successful 2024 season, in which we won the Kearsney Soccer Tournament, hosted by Kearsney College, the Durban Central LFA U17 Boys’ League, Durban Summer League, and Pinetown U19 Super Cup.
